CHECK OUT NATASHA'S 'SAVE YOUR CHILDS LIFE' SAFETY VIDEO WITH THE DAILY MIRROR
CELBRITY MUM, Natasha Hamilton, is backing a national child-safety campaign that offers parents and carers FREE 2-hour first-aid courses. The campaign, formed by Tesco Baby & Toddler Club in association with The Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS UK), aims to help train parents and carers as an independent study indicates six out of 10 parents would not know what to do in an emergency. From November 2008 to March 2009, 10 BabySafe courses will be held nationwide. Watch this video to hear why Natasha is supporting the campaign and for some top tips on what to do if your child chokes or stops breathing. ATOMIC KITTEN'S NATASHA HAMILTON SIGNS SOLO DEAL
Following her hugely successful trips to the US to record her debut album Natasha Hamilton signed to Ministry of Sound yesterday with her first single slated for June/July 09 and her album planned for Oct 09.
Natasha has recently spent time in the US where she wrote and recorded her album with 2 of the greatest producer song writing teams in the world; Toby Gad (famed for writing Beyonce's If I Were a Boy, Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry) and with Jim Beanz and Timbaland's team out of Philadelphia who co-wrote and produced Nelly Furtado's Maneater.
On the eve of flying off to Dubai for a family holiday with husband, Riad and her two boys Josh and Harry Natasha said last night "I am very excited to be signing to such a brilliant label as Ministry of Sound. The album is the best collection of songs I've ever been involved with and I can't wait to release the first single and get stuck into promoting it everywhere!"
The deal follows Natasha's worldwide club hit "Round and Round" (a collaboration with producer Mischa Daniels) which was number one in Brazil and a top 20 billboard hit in the US club charts in 2008. The single is rumoured to be the future classic "Ms Emotional" and a taste of it can be heard above on the jukebox!!!

What can you say about Natasha Hamilton? As she prepares for solo stardom, the future looks brighter than ever for one of the UK’s most talented singers.
Having just returned from New York where she completed the bulk of the recordings for her debut solo album with Jim Beanz and Toby Gad - two of the most successful producers in the world and the men behind Nelly Furtado, Fergie and Beyonce – 2008 and 2009 promise to be big years for the little lady with the big voice.
It's a decade since she joined the fledgling Atomic Kitten aged just 16.
2 months after she joined the Kittens’ signed their first deal with EMI/Innocent and she soon rose to fame with the band’s debut hit "Right Now" hitting the top ten in December 1999.
It took another 13 months of hard work and globetrotting as well as new member Jenny Frost replacing Kerry Katona before the band released their anthem, the worldwide number 1 smash hit "Whole Again" which topped the UK chart for 4 amazing weeks and was a global smash spending 6 weeks at number one in Germany and going to the top spot in 19 countries.
They followed this huge success with another number 1 “Eternal Flame” and the number 1 album “Right Now”.
Their 2nd album “Feels So Good” continued where Right Now left off delivering another worldwide number 1 with “The Tide Is High”. The band topped the singles, albums and dvd charts simulatenously, still the only girl group to ever achieve this feat.
The album went on to sell more than a million and a half copies spawning a further top 3 top 5 singles with “The Last Goodbye” and the dancefloor smash “Be With You”. The Kittens also became the face of MTV Asia for a full 12 months and began collecting the first of many international music awards and nominations. The band also had their own Corvette sportscar and UK touring car racing team!
They released the first single from their 3rd album, the fantastic “If You Come to Me” in September 2003 which gave them yet another top 3 single and followed this with the triple platinum selling “Ladies Night” album with the title track (on which they duetted with none other than Kool and the Gang themselves) giving the band yet another top 5 single and yet another global smash.
Just ahead of the start of their arena tour in January 2004 the band announced they were taking an extended break and released their greatest hits package to coincide with the tour while the Wembley concert gave the band their first number 1 concert DVD.
Natasha took a year and a half out devoting herself to son Josh and delivering his brother Harry on New Year’s Eve 2005. In 2007 she prepared to return to her musical career and began writing and recording her first solo songs. Bringing to mind an early Tina Turner her enormous and impressive vocals are the bedrock of the organic, rootsy dance music with a huge amount of soul which has become her trademark. Her live shows with her fabulous 7 piece band are memorable for the energy and sheer talent coming off the stage and she has gigged solidly globally for the last 12 months.
Her triumphs in TV have been many, from wowing audiences with her rendition of the classic hit ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ on ITV1s Movie Music Mania, to being the judges’ winner on the hit BBC1 show ‘Just the Two of Us’ in February and March 2006, she made the show her own and subsequently repeated her performance in early 2007.
In summer ’07 she returned to the arena stages after her singing prowess caught the eye (or should we say ear) of one Mr Lionel Richie, who was so impressed, he invited her to support him on his UK tour.
In November 2007, (one week before her wedding!) Tash added the string of entrepreneur to her bow as she and now husband Riad Erraji, opened a restaurant and bistro ‘Hamiltons’ in Liverpool’s exclusive Met Quarter and a nightclub ‘H’ in the vibrant Victoria Street, both of which go from strength to strength in 2008.
January 2008 saw Tash reunited once again with her 2 fellow Atomic Kittens for “The Number One Project,” a charity that raised money for 6 local causes in and around the Liverpool area while celebrating the city's Capital of Culture year. The Kittens recorded and released their version of Cilla Black's huge number one ‘Anyone Who Had a Heart’ while Natasha also recorded a solo version of yet another Cilla classic, ‘You’re My World’ which is the powerful opening track on the Number One Project Album.
As she moved into 2008 her Armada Records single “Round and Round” broke into the US top 20 dance singles and hit number 1 in Brazil.
Natasha has subsequently entered the most exciting recording phase of her solo career to date signing her record deal with Sonic Boom Recordings who developed Holly Valance into worldwide success and has signed her publishing deal with the UK arm of US publisher Crosstown Songs. Her new US sourced material is her best yet and promises big things. With backing from industry giants in every corner her huge talent is poised to achieve the solo recognition it so deserves.
